Weeny... I mean Feeny

Hello my couch potatoes! Welcome back. November is coming to an end which means it's time for Thanksgiving and (even better) it is Holiday season. WOOOO HOOOO!!!!! But this year, the end of November means that more college apps are due and I have to start handing in my portfolio. I finished 2/3 of them. Thank goodness most of my schools only require two so if I don't finish the third one in time I could hand in just the first two. But this one's coming along. I started it this afternoon and more than half of it is done. Here it is if you want to take a look at what I have so far. (this link works lol) I used Biblical text in this piece mainly because I do not have enough time to write my own non depressing lyrics.


For this post I was going to share a couple of playlists with you guys (creds. to Carolyn) but I decided that I am going to put that off until later in the school year. Which means in 2020. My Goh... --sh (do not use the Lord's name in vain). Also my last blog was a playlist so it's all good.

Today, I wanted to do a little review on a TV show, Boy Meets World, which is a coming of age series following Cory Matthews, played by Ben Savage. We follow Corey, his friends Topanga Lawrence (Danielle Fishel) and Shawn Hunter (Rider Strong) along with his family, and his teacher Mr. Feeny, through the journey of middle school, high school, and college through 7 seasons. It is a great family comedy that teaches life lessons, like relationships—whether it is romantic, platonic, or between siblings, they have it.

The things that Corey, Topanga, and Shawn learn are timeless. Even though they take place in the 90's (which seems like a million years ago haha) we can all really relate to them today, especially the high school ones since the majority of the show takes place in high school.

But honestly, my favorite thing about this show is the relationship between Corey's good-for-nothing older brother Eric (Will Friedle) and Mr. Feeny. This show has a lot of great funny moments but the relationship between these two characters is hilarious and heartwarming at the same time. I think everyone wishes they could have a relationship like theirs. If you are going to click on anything, please watch this compilation of the Feeny Call. It sums up their relationship perfectly (and it's sooooo funny).

I would definitely recommend this show to anyone whether you need a good laugh, a good cry, or just something to watch. You won't regret it.

Most of you probably watched Girl Meets World, the spin off Boy Meets World. This is one of the cases where I think the original is better. I personally think that Girl Meets World was shoving the life lessons in your face while in the original is was more subtle.

Remember When We Made it Shine... Good Times

Hello my Couch Potatoes! Welcome back! I was thinking about doing another post about TV shows but then I realized that I never did a post on music... and like that's my forte. (I'm so proud of myself, I finished my second composition for my college portfolio...yay! Here's the score if you want to check it out—yes, self promo) After all my intentions for this blog is supposed to be on entertainment and music does fall under that category. So I will save my TV show post for some other time. However, my TV show idea kinda inspired this post. Anyway it's time for music to make a spotlight appearance on my blog. So you better look, listen, and lay low (hahaha—I think I'm funny so I laugh at myself a lot hehe).


The end of the decade is approaching. An end of an era. And for me, the year of 2020 will be whole new chapter with graduating and being an adult and everything (even though I still look like I'm 13-years-old). Even though I will technically an adult soon, many of you, my couch potatoes, will feel are already feel like your childhood has kinda already ended.


Were you one of those kids that would stand up to dance and sing along whenever a movie like High School Musical came on? Well I was, and I still am (no shame). Now we see posts on Instagram with clips of favorite TV shows when we were little, memes about silly bands or even tik toks with songs from when we were younger. Here's a list of some of my favorite songs from TV shows that you'd probably see me jamming out to in the car, in no particular order.
